learn about Voyageurs National Park, book tours, check out historical displays, hike down one of the paved walking paths. Lots of learning and discovery for all ages. Voyageurs National park is the only water based park mean you will need some type of water craft to explore within the park. Rentals and tours available.
a 3/4 mile floating deck that allows you to explore the bog, great for walking, running, biking or even strollers. The path continues on further then the decked area for those more adventurous.
when you see a 25' statue of Big Vic you know you have reached the city of Ranier. Big Vic was created in protest of creating Voyageurs National Park in 1980. Ranier has lots of shops and is a quaint little town that is a must to explore. Ranier beach is a perfect little beach to cool off or take a swim off the dock.
City Beach is just outside of Ranier and is a large sand beach area with a floating swim dock, slide, lifeguards, volleyball and basketball courts, and a gazebo area perfect for a picnic.
Don't forget to stop by and see smokey bear and his bear cubs. This 25 ft statue is sure to be a hit especially with the little ones. Smokey also likes to dress up according to seasons, so you never know what he might be wearing.
